Overview

Bodrum Private Boat Tour – for up to 12 people

A private boat trip in Bodrum means that you have sole hire of the boat including its crew for the whole day. You don’t need any boating experience or be able to swim. If you want a truly luxury experience, then the Bodrum Private Boat Tour is the perfect option for a special day out. We have a boat that takes up to 12 people on a cruise around the Bodrum peninsula. The purpose of this tour is so you can see the crystal clear water of the Aegean in all it’s glory.

Anyone can privately hire this boat. We take solo travellers, couples, families or groups of up to 12 people. It is for those who don’t like the sound of sharing a boat with others and want to have complete comfort.

Benefits of Private Boat Tours in Bodrum

Many standard boat trips are available in Bodrum and most boats take between 30 and 40 people on board. They all follow a scheduled route so many of the bays end up crowded and fighting for the best spot. Why not hire a small but beautiful gulet boat for a private boat trip around Bodrum to avoid the crowds. You can start slightly earlier than the scheduled boat trips and take the opposite route. This means that you will be at the bays ahead of everyone else so you can enjoy it’s tranquillity.

You may discuss with the captain which bays would be best for you to go to on the day. These decisions can be based on things such as weather, as in wind some bays are more sheltered than others. In high season most boats are full and on the sea, and to avoid over crowded spots will make for a more enjoyable day. And also your interests also play a big part. If you a group of nervous swimmers, the captain may suggest bays so the boat can get closer to the shore for your comfort. Or if you are lovers of the sea, some bays have amazing snorkelling reefs.

What is included in the Price?

Private boat hire in Bodrum is popular among large groups because the price per person works out cheap. This is because a group paying a fixed price to privately hire a boat in Bodrum often equals a standard boat trip price. And you have the added bonus of comfort and enjoyment to have the boat to yourselves.

The price of the trip includes around 7 hours hire of the boat and crew. It also includes lunch and selected soft drinks. If you are staying in Gumbet or Bitez the transfer is also included in the fixed price. Not included is alcohol which is available on board to buy.

What will we do on the Private Boat Trip in Bodrum?

The pick up for this trip is included from Gumbet and Bitez only. If you are staying in other areas of the peninsula then the meeting point is Gumbet jetty. We can quote for a return transfer from your accommodation to the boat if you contact us before the tour date. The boat will leave Gumbet jetty at around 9.45 am and travel along the coast of Bodrum stopping at 4 or 5 different bays.

In these bays you can swim, snorkel or just take in the spectacular scenery and crystal clear waters. Comfortable cushioned sunbeds on deck make it so you can relax and forget it all. As you cruise along with the wind in your hair and the soft music in your ears you will feel like royalty. To be in such a beautiful place in such luxury is not an everyday occurrence.

A delicious lunch of chicken saute wraps and mezes will be served on board the boat. Lunch will be served while the boat is anchored in one of the bays. There is snorkelling equipment available so you can use it to explore what lies beneath.

On the return leg of the journey the captain may sail. If the wind is good then you will experience this wonderful moment. Around 75% of the time this boat is able to do some sailing.

Bodrum Private Boat Trip stops

As mentioned above, on a Bodrum private boat tour you don’t have to take the scheduled route. You can choose to spend more time as certain bays and skip other. If you are a first time visitor to Bodrum then the captain will ensure you get the most out of your private boat tour. The list of bays that you could visit are:

Black Island Mud Cave

Black Island is about 6 kms south of Bodrum city. It name ‘black island’ comes from the colour it looks from afar because its covered in dense pine forest. The mud cave stop on the island is where thermal water comes out from the cave into a man-made pool that you can swim in. You have to pay a small fee to enter to cave and pool which is payable there f you want to go in.

Meteor Bay

Meteor bay is also a stop on Black Island The depth of the sea here was created by a fallen meteor which makes for great cliff jumping!

The 2 stops on Black island both have to be selected on the Bodrum private boat trip. Just one of them is not possible.

Bagla Bay

Bagla bay is a small sheltered bay which is often used for the lunch spot. The snorkelling here is great so you can explore while lunch is being prepared.

Aquarium Bay

At Aquarium bay you can see a wide variety of fish, hence its name ‘Aquarium bay’. This is one of the bays that all the boats will stop at. The water is clear to see the sandy bottom.  If you aren’t a keen swimmer you can still see the fish by throwing bread from the boat.

Ada Boğazı

Ada Boğazı lies between Bitez and Gumbet. From this bay you can see Kos, the Greek Island on a clear day. You can enjoy the deep water here and swim to a depth of around 10 metres. Here too is sheltered from the breeze so it’s a popular stop for the Bodrum private boat trip.

Rabbit Island

The island is situated in front of Bitez bay. Many years ago a few rabbits were placed here and over a short amount of time the rabbit population increased. This fact is why the island is named so. The sea floor is beautiful white sand and on a windy day, the boats can shelter here from the wind. This bay is often the place to stop for lunch. After lunch you can swim to shore and leave food for the remaining rabbits.

Lady Bay

Lady bay is the closest bay to Gumbet, so is the last on the Bodrum private boat trip’s stop. Its name comes from it being such a secluded bay. Turkish ladies would prefer this place to all others for their privacy. The beautiful green landscape is sandwiched here between the blue skies and turquoise seas. You can snorkel here, or just take in the spectacular views from

We have larger boats available if you are looking for a private boat trip for more than 12 people.
